Leaving Limogne du Quercy

This was on Sunday and we were walking through the remote reserved bush of the causes of the Quercy area - limestone ridges and flat plateaus. Baying dogs could be heard in the distance and it soon became evident that hunting with dogs for deer and wild pigs was very popular. Any minute we thought a mob of dogs would descend upon us and a hapless deer - but happily not so. Our dog handler was keen to explain he had "permission" for this pursuit as there is an obvious conflict between different interest groups!
