Gite d'Etape du Cambarrat

Our problem of booking Gites in advance has been helped by Genevieve who has coincided in the last couple of stop-overs. Tonight's gite is in Argagnon and was difficult to find. We came across Genevieve asking directions from a farmer in a very large John Deere tractor with spreader attached. Next minute he takes our 3packs into his cab and tells us the gite is another 2 Km down the road - just turn left at the Eglise!!
We eventually arrive at this lovely old farmhouse to meet Nicole - he and his wife raised 7 children on this farm. A lovely dinner and then Banjo from Nicole made for an excellent and unexpected highlight of our trip!
Tim and I were given a 4 bed room to share while Genevieve was relegated to the Gypsy Caravan!

  1. Dear Tim and Geoff, How are you? Congratulations for this great trip! We met in Cajarc (picture in this blog) and in Le Pech (I was sleeping outside, watching the shooting stars). Are you stopping in SJPP or do you cross the Pyrennées? Thank you for the regular news. Hope to see you on my blog, too (http://www.radiocamino.net). Kind regards, Sylvie
